it's hard to believe it's been almost a year since we sold our house on tamworth drive with the fabulous gail jodon of modern charlotte realty. it may be even harder to believe it took three different properties before we finally closed and moved into our new home! first it was a condo in myers park, then a co-op in the kimberlee, and finally a townhouse in olde georgetowne. it may not have gone as planned when we moved from our mid century tri-level, but i feel like we're exactly where we're meant to be.
not only will this give me great content for the blog, i'll be taking on a circa 1970s townhouse from top to bottom. some elements will remain, at the request of my husband, but for the most part it's an overhaul. i'll be sharing my designs for each room very soon, as some renovations are already underway. i hope you'll stay tuned and follow along!

for all you mid century architecture enthusiasts out there, the Mad About Modern Home Tour is next Saturday, September 9th, grab your tickets before they sell out! there are seven homes on the tour this year, including a Designer Showcase Home that i was lucky enough to be asked to participate in. i can't reveal the design or pictures yet, as there will be a full spread in the October/November issue of Charlotte Home & Decor magazine, but you can get a preview on the tour. i promise you won't be disappointed, there are fabulous spaces by Sarah Catherine Collective and Design Bar, as well as custom casegoods by Hans Krug. get inspired and see how each of us transformed a home in Lansdowne with our own personal take on mid century modern. i'll be there from 10-4, so stop by and say hello!
